Modern Language Association Language Map Unrestricted Access 
The Modern Language Association (MLA) Language Map describes the linguistic and cultural composition of the United States.  The Map uses data from the 2000 United States census to display the locations and numbers of speakers of thirty languages and three groups of less commonly spoken languages in the United States.

World Atlas of Language Structures Online Unrestricted Access 
Large database of structural (phonological, grammatical, lexical) properties of languages gathered from descriptive materials (such as reference grammars) by many of the leading authorities. Search for languages by map region or by country.
