What is the Edible Book Festival?
Edible book festivals celebrate books, art, food and culture. The event is based on the International Edible Book Festival, held in more than 24 countries on six continents.

Edible Books are made with food and are inspired by literary titles, characters, or authors. Participants are encouraged to craft - and eventually eat - their own book-inspired culinary creation.

Event is free and open to ALL. Individuals or groups may enter the contest. Everyone is invited to celebrate!

Schedule for the 2019 Edible Book Festival

  • 9a.m. - 11a.m. -- Participants drop off their entries in the Batza Room
  • 11a.m. --  Judging and Photography
  • 11:30a.m. -- Public viewing begins

  • 12:30 p.m. -- Winners announced and eating of books - ALL are welcome to attend!

Entry rules

Judging is based on originality, unusual use of food, adherence to book theme, humor and wit, play on words, and design.
