- World Bank DataRecognizing that transparency and accountability are essential to development, the World Bank Group provides free access to its comprehensive set of data on living standards around the globe--some 2,000 indicators, including hundreds that go back 50 years. The data is available in Arabic, French, and Spanish in addition to English.

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research is one of the world's leading archives of social science data, specializing in data from surveys of public opinion. Most of the data are from the United States, but over 50 nations are represented.

Data tips
- Be realistic in what you expect to find.
- Read any methodological or technical documentation and note the method by which the data have been gathered.
- If the data have been aggregated, identify the original sources.
- Match variables closely in time.

Data Citation
